What will you do? Azure Summit Technology is currently seeking a Firmware Engineer.
The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team.
This position is located on-site at our facility in Germantown, MD, with occasional overnight travel to other locations as needed to support customer activities.
Your future team has worked together to produce the following job description: The selected candidates will be responsible for algorithm exploration, architecture definition, abstract modeling, and FPGA implementation, verification, and delivery, as applied for research and development of complex SIGINT, EW, radar, communications and other RF mission systems.
Duties involve all aspects of FPGA firmware development, including documentation, modeling, implementation, simulation, synthesis, and integration, and test.
Basic Requirements - US citizenship, due to nature of the work and contract requirement - Ability to obtain TOP SECRET clearance, due to nature of the work and contract requirement - BS degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent - Minimum 3 years’ experience as a firmware engineer developing and implementing signal processing algorithms on large, dense, high-speed FPGAs (e.
g.
, Xilinx, Altera) using VHDL or Verilog Preferred Qualifications - TS/SCI Clearance - 5 years’ experience as a firmware engineer developing and implementing signal processing algorithms on large, dense, high-speed FPGAs (e.
