We would love for you to join our team! Job Summary iDox is looking for a OpenText Livelink System Administrator to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission.
This position requires knowledge of workflow processes, internal system operations and component services (file servers, db servers, fax servers, process agents, internet servers, scan stations).
Knowledge to perform daily, weekly and periodic updates and maintenance operations to production, development and backup systems.
Ability to act as the point of contact with Client Helpdesk, to answer questions and troubleshoot system, group and end-user issues.
Requires experience with Basic system operations: member/group creation, worklist and document workflow monitoring, system health and space requirements.
Ability to perform and check system backups.
Familiarity and/or experience with the use of monitoring tools (LogWatch, SQL, SQL Analyzer).
Responsibilities Knowledge of OpenText Livelink applications to perform administrative maintenance and issue resolution Monitor and troubleshoot OpenText Livelink issues.
Demonstrated experience with delivering web-based applications and dealing with the challenges of compatibility, scalability, and performance Familiarity with server, PC and NAS hardware and their maintenance Expertise in documenting administrative functions and processes Expertise in analyzing workflow solutions End-to-end understanding of development processes, organization, and techniques in order to drive the creation of optimal solutions Working knowledge Microsoft Server 2003 administration and Microsoft SQL Server 2003 functionality Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree + 3 years experience Required Skills Monitor and maintain specific system operations.
Deploy patches and new versions of software.
Edit listing of SOPs and problem resolution logs.
Provide feedback in lessons learned and implement changes.
Record and document incidents and incident resolutions.
Deploy and maintain thick- and thin-client applications.
Train end-users on new features and processes.
Troubleshoot end-user issues.
Participate in planning, development and deployment meetings with development staff.
Provide helpdesk and maintenance support to End-users.
Desired Skills Experience Livelink/Content Server administration duties.
Provide plans and schedules (MS Project) to program manager for identified projects.
Ability to use standard problem-solving techniques to diagnose system irregularities and problems.
Knowledge of QA procedures.
Provide test plans for new applications.
Provide basic documentation/training materials for new applications.
Ability to multi-task several issues simultaneously and rank according to severity.
