Location/Division Specific Information Frederick, MD/Clinical Next-Generation Sequencing Division How will you make an impact? The Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler I are responsible for the generation and execution of the manufacturing schedule within all value streams.
Person will work with cross functional teams to ensure schedule is completed on time to meet demand requirements while optimally applying production available capacity.
The role is also responsible for deploying new scheduling systems, process changes, work instructions, and work on projects with other functions to enable more efficiency.
What will you do? Manage the creation, communication, and deployment of the weekly production schedule for all manufacturing work centers ensuring available capacity is effectively applied while level loading all demand requirements.
Conduct final material assessments and release work orders to manufacturing.
Request the transfer of raw materials from the warehouse for work order as needed.
Release and print required batch record documentation for manufacturing.
Track work order statuses through manufacturing and reviews work in process material inventory on production floor.
Understand work order delays and work cross functionally to resolve issues causing delays to stay on track to meeting demand requirements.
Understand and highlight all capacity constraints and work collaboratively with manufacturing teams on resolution.
Coordinate with cross functional teams to achieve schedule attainment results, based on constraints within supply, capacity, equipment, or other aspects of operations.
Report out the schedule attainment results for value streams.
Collaborate with manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department and supervisors on material status and production planning issues.
Provides input and recommendations in improving supply chain strategies, policies and practices to achieve outstanding Supply Chain Management.
Participates in problem resolution activities when required, to insure timely deliveries to / from global locations to customers.
Support back-order reduction efforts.
How will you get here? Education Bachelor degree or Associate degree preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience Minimum 1 to 2 years experience in Supply Chain with degree is preferred, or 3+ years proven experience in lieu of degree.
Preferred 1 to 2 years minimum experience working in a regulated CGMP manufacturing plant (preferably Pharma / Biotech / Life Sciences industries) Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Experience using an ERP System, E1 preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
Strong analytical skills, combined with practical discernment.
Provides ability in building relationships across various functional teams.
Demonstrated ability in managing multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
Shows ability in working well in a global organization within Operations and with external clients.
Ability to work independently, typically initiating own tasks with input/mentorship from manager.
Ability to thrive in a matrix and cross-functional team environment.
