Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC (BBCH) is expanding its workforce! We are searching for a proficient Superintendent to join our growing construction business line.
This role entails scheduling, subcontractor management, communication with the client and building occupants, safety and occupational health management, monitoring, assessments, safety site orientation, activity-specific education, and assurance of compliance.
This role is located in Ft.
Detrick, MD.
Responsibilities • Manage overall quality and production of work and conformance to Contract Documents.
• Manage/maintain all necessary planning, direction, coordination, and budgeting for project activities.
• Coordinate/communicate with the Project Manager daily.
• Coordinate/communicate with Owner as necessary.
• Manage subcontractor, contractor, owner, inspector, AHJ field coordination, daily.
• Manage field staff coordination with Quality Control Manager and Site Safety and Health Officer • Attend the pre-construction conference, pre-work meetings including three phase inspection meetings.
• Manage/maintain weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Attend/participate in weekly Owner’s meetings.
• Review and be knowledgeable of subcontractor’s subcontracted scope of work.
• Manage all coordination necessary to complete the scopes of work and prevent extra work or lost time to the greatest extent possible.
• Be familiar with the subcontractor’s budget and cost structure.
• Review and be knowledgeable of the Baseline Project Schedule.
• Provide input on dates, durations, and coordination, monthly.
• Prepare short-term detailed look ahead schedules, weekly.
• Request, prepare, and hold coordination meetings as necessary to support the Project Schedule.
• Coordinate with the Subcontractors and Owner for progress billing, monthly.
• Oversee quality control and safety programs.
• Manage deliveries, staging, loading, and unloading.
• Supervise equipment usage on site such as cranes or earth moving equipment.
• Ensure project conformance to national and/or local building codes.
• Maintain accurate daily records.
Qualifications • ASHE Healthcare Construction Certificate (HCC) • Experience managing USACE (United state Army Corps of Engineers) Projects • 5 years of experience on similar projects, building renovations, and/or new construction.
• OSHA 30hr • Experience with Procore • Experience with RMS • Proficient with Word, Excel, and PDF As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results.
Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients.
Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, climbing, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds.
If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection.
Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times.
