Overview
The Energy Power Management System (EPMS) Field Service Technician will be working as part of a fast growing, dynamic team and will play a critical role representing the company in their customer’s data centers.
This person will help clients to reduce energy costs, ensure 100% up-time and maintain competitiveness.
The candidate will possess technical background and experience in installation, troubleshooting, operations and/or maintenance of wiring, networking, and programming associated with the EPMS system.
The candidate may also have relevant experience operating and maintaining mission critical electrical systems.
An EPMS Field Service Technician shall be responsible for participating in the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of equipment and controls system associated with the EPMS system deployment in the data centers.
Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain electrical equipment, and Energy Management Systems.
Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
Troubleshooting of any EPMS related issues.
Perform quarterly preventive maintenance on EPMS system.
Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work.
Take operational readings of equipment.
Meet with customers to identify specific data center building needs and gather requirements.
Administrative work includes data entry in Excel, writing of work authorizations and work orders.
Work on-call when required and respond to after-hours emergencies.
Travel to local and distant locations required.
Basic Qualifications:
Technical (Military/ Trade School) training and/or relevant experience.
Experience working in a Data Center or a Critical Environment 2+ years of relevant electrical and/or mechanical work experience.
Knowledge of IP Networks.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Solid leadership and organizational skills.
Attention to detail with high energy and able to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment.
