I have two lovely serama chicks looking for a new home! Seramas are the smallest breed of chicken, and frizzles have soft curly feathers that give them a super-fluffy, charmingly rumpled look.
I have two available now: one is going to be chocolate brown and one is looking to be tan with striped wings and tail.
I am asking for a $35 rehoming fee for a single chick, or $60 for the pair.
(2nd pic is of mom Cupcake and 3rd is dad Sweet Pea) They are too young to tell if they are hens or roosters.
While serama roosters do crow, they aren't much louder than a parrot, aren't aggressive and generally are not enthusiastic crowers.
Hens will lay tiny eggs fairly regularly, which you can eat.
Please be sure you will be happy with whichever gender you get before buying.
Note that because of their small size and unique feathers, they should be kept indoors - these are gentle pet birds, bred to be household companions, not farm animals! A large rabbit cage with aspen or chopped straw litter works well.
Also be careful around other pets, as they are small enough to be injured by a cat or dog.
I feed them chick crumbles and grit sold for small birds like canaries and finches.
Adults eat mini pellets sold for chickens, plus fresh fruit, veggies, and treats like mealworms and crickets.
Texts are the best way to get ahold of me.
Thanks!
