We are seeking a highly motivated, friendly, and collaborative practice manager for our growing nature-based mental health practice!
*Practice Overview*
Outdoor Therapeutics is a Maryland-based out-patient private practice dedicated to improving mental health through clinical and wellness programs that realign connections between mind, body, and the natural world.
We provide individual and group counseling services to youth and adults, ages 12 and up and sponsor free and low-cost wellness programs to our community, including nature-based retreats, therapeutic backpacking and hiking, and educational workshops.
We strive to create a workplace culture and climate that supports work-life balance and low-burnout rates through flexible scheduling and work locations, staff time in nature, and regular collaboration and supervision.
*Position Overview*
The practice manager will work collaboratively with and report to the practice owner in the areas of human resources, accounting, medical billing, and the general administrative operations of the practice.
The ideal candidate is people-focused, has strong communication skills, is highly organized, process-oriented, and can take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving.

*Education Requirements*
Bachelor’s degree in business, social work, healthcare or related field.
*Experience Level*
Minimum 2 years’ experience in administrative and/or program management roles within health, wellness or fitness industries.
Must have a working knowledge of healthcare settings, management and operations.
*Responsibilities*
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing operations of the practice, including scheduling appointments, interfacing with community partners, supporting prospective and current clients, and manualizing operations.
Detailed tasks and cultural responsibilities include:
* Maintaining positive work environment for staff and clients
* Ensure compliance with workplace regulations and practice policies
* Develop and implement policies and procedures for the practice
* Manage administrative resources including online drives, calendars, and staff information
* Assist with financial resources of the practice, including budgeting and bookkeeping
* Assist with medical billing including claims filing and adjustments
* Assist with credentialing process for clinical staff
* Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as vendors, insurance companies, and other healthcare providers
* Able to be sensitive to client and staff confidentiality with particular adherence to HIPAA-protected information
*On-Site Training*
On-site training is provided in the following areas:
* Electronic Health Records (EHR) Management
* Principles of Nature-Informed Therapy
* HIPAA Compliance and Trauma-Responsive Workplace Principles

* Mostly flexible schedule with the addition of mandatory monthly meetings

* The potential to increase work hours and expand role as the practice grows
