Mercier School of Dance is seeking a few fun-loving dance educators to join our outstanding team of teachers specializing in on-site preschool dance classes.

For almost two decades, Mercier School of Dance has provided spectacular dance instruction in schools and daycares throughout Northern Virginia.
We pride ourselves in classes that are fun, energetic, and rooted in a solid foundation of dance theory.
We are currently hiring in preparation of an amazing 2023-24 season! We believe in treating our staff with care, compassion and fair pay.

About the position:
* All classes will be on-site at a host location (we do not have a 'base' studio.
) Our classes are in Loudoun, Fairfax, and Prince William Co.
* You will primarily teach children aged 3-9.
* Dance styles include creative movement, ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and Zumba.
* The position is part-time; expect to teach 5-15 hours per week (depending on availability and location.
)
* Most classes are during the day (between 9am-5pm.
)
* Typical starting rate is $35-50/hr, after training period.
* We offer an annual instructor retreat and a paid vacation schedule after your first anniversary!
Requirements
* Formal history of dance training
* Two references
* Highschool, College, or professional certification.
* Experience teaching young children preferred
* Able to provide your own transportation to/from on-site locations
* Selected candidates will undergo a background check
Timing
* We have immediate openings to begin training and working with our existing teachers.
* Hours will be a set schedule Sep-May (we do take several breaks during the year ;).
Sign on Bonus
* $500 after the successful completion of your first dance season.
