We are seeking a Head Swim Coach for the 2024 summer season!
Head Coach Job Description - A hardworking, collegial, motivated, enthusiastic, and engaging individual who can lead swimmers of all ability levels and coordinate and manage assistant and junior coaches.
Practices begin the day after Memorial Day, Monday-Friday evenings.
Once school is out, practices are held weekday mornings.
Swim meets are usually Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
The swim season runs from the day after Memorial Day to the end of July.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Qualifications:
* College graduate or currently in college
* Club/High School/College swimming experience
* Proficient in all stroke techniques
* Must have CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certification before the end of May
* Previous experience managing others or coaching experience.
Head Coach Responsibilities:
* Provide feedback to all swimmers.
* Promote team spirit.
* Interact with parents, swimmers, and fellow coaches in a professional manner.
* Set up and break down the pool for practices and swim meets.
* Prepare line ups and entries for swim meets.
* Be present at all practices, swim meets, team lunches, and team events.
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule:
* Evening shift
* Monday to Friday
* Morning shift
* Weekends as needed
