DESCRIPTION:
The STEM Camp Counselor will provide assistance to STEM camp participants under the supervision and direction of the STEM Camp Teachers.
They will serve as mentors to students and support activities and logistics for the camp.
Counselors in this position will engage with students through the lens of STEM and demonstrate a knowledge of and excitement for STEM.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engage with students in STEM activities
Mentor and encourage students in the STEM camp
Collaborate with STEM Camp Teachers
Perform work related as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Science, technology, engineering, or mathematics interest
Current 9th – 12th grade or current college students, must be 16 years of age at the time of the program start
Ability to work with effectively with children; to carry out designated instructional assignments
Good human relations and communication skills

This part-time hourly position reports to the STEM Supervisor.
