*Job Summary*
The Project Accountant position is responsible Directly reporting to the company Accounting Manager you will be responsible for managing the accounts of various construction projects, communicating with the Estimating & Project Management departments to comprehend detailed project budgets and advise them on tax regulations, and collaborating with project managers for billing and job costing duties.

* Performing accounting duties throughout the project, such as AIA Billing, ability to develop pay applications, SOB in accordance with contractual requirements, processing change orders, estimating cash flow, and overseeing subcontractors’ contracts * Keeping a record of all project accounting for internal & external auditing * Collaborating with the project managers for cost analyses & interpretation of financial data * Prepare and customize various job cost reports * Reporting budgetary discrepancies to internal stakeholders for review * Acting as a liaison with customer inquiries or requests * Time Entry for Field Workers * Administrative duties that align with project requirements *Competencies* Accountability Problem solving/Critical thinking Results Oriented Time Management Ethical Conduct Thoroughness Initiative *Required Education & Experience* * Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word * Prior experience in construction job cost accounting * Strong analytical and mathematical skills * Meticulous attention to detail and high level of accuracy * Knowledge of Viewpoint Vista, or other construction ERP systems Shall Exhibit the following Expertise * Positive attitude with a focus on creating solid working relationships that foster long term customer work.
* Familiarity with ERP software Vista highly valued * Excellent PC computer skills, highly proficient in Excel, as well as the MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word * Effective verbal and written communication, organization and planning, and problem resolution skills * Travel as required to project jobsites for meetings, audits, and inspections * Demonstrate critical thinking, attention to detail, and strong meeting coordination and facilitation skills * Demonstrated knowledge of construction job costing.
*Work Environment* This job operates on a construction job site in a jobsite trailer.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment but will regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.
The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
*Physical Demands* The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs and negotiate work areas under construction.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, sit, talk, and hear, stand, and bend.
