What does your day as a Surgical Veterinary Assistant look like at Partner?
The Surgical Veterinary Assistants emphasis is on tasks related to team and patient care, plus pet family support.
Additional daily tasks include patient handling, prepping patients for surgery, cleaning/sterilizing surgical instruments, and cleaning/restocking supplies.
You will work with unique and varied cases, and you have the resources to enable optimal patient outcomes.
Schedule: The surgery team will work 3/12 hour shifts, including rotational weekend shifts.
(Weekday shifts may vary, but schedules are confirmed in advanced and schedules are set on a quarterly basis.

Requirements:
Minimum 1-year Veterinary Assistant experience in an ER/CC or surgery care setting
Understanding of veterinary surgical workflows and procedures
Exposure to, or knowledge of Fear-Free techniques and philosophies preferred
A curious and motivated energy
Interest in collaborating with the teams across the Partner network
Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
