Role Primary responsibility for assisting with and supporting the management of the day-to-day budget and financial resources.
This position prepares the monthly claim for reimbursement for MSDE and performs daily deposit verification for all schools as well as daily review of meal counts in preparation of daily, monthly, and annual reports.
The work also involves grant monitoring, reporting, and communication with Financial Reporting to provide monthly financial and budget information.
This position would ensure that FNS remains self-supporting, providing that FNS's judiciary responsibility to remain compliant with all USDA regulations.
Essential Functions Monthly Claim Reimbursement Enrollments and meal counts, by status (Free, Reduced, Paid) by school NSBP (National School Breakfast Program), NSLP (National School Lunch Program), FFVP (Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program), CACFP (After School Programs), Summer Food Service Program.
Ensure student participation by school, by meal, by date of operation does not exceed student enrollment by status Daily Deposit Verification Verifying system deposits vs what is actually received at the bank.
Reviewing daily cash drawer overage and shortages Inventory Review/Audits Ensure daily fulfillments, receipts, and transfers are properly recorded in TITAN by all 70 locations.
TITAN is the accountability/procurement software utilized by FNS.
Spot check inventory audits in all schools and the FNS warehouse.
Reporting Meals Per Labor Hour completely monthly for each school.
(Ensures we are staffed properly in all locations.
